National Meeting of Municipal Plans for the Integration of Migrants
The project team “Portugal: Enhancing Migrant Integration Services” was present yesterday at the National Meeting of Municipal Plans for the Integration of Migrants.
The Meeting took place at the former Fundão Seminary, currently the Fundão Migration Center, which welcomes, among others, temporary workers, asylum seekers and CPLP students.
Fostered by the multiculturalism of this space, the Meeting brought together the High Commissioner for Migration, representatives of the ACM and the various municipalities in the country to reflect and share good practices and experiences of the work carried out under the Municipal Plans for the Integration of Migrants.
The project “Portugal: Enhancing the Integration Services for Migrants” is implemented by IOM Portugal in cooperation with the ACM and financed by the European Commission through DG REFORM. One of the areas of intervention consists on strengthening the National Support Network for the Integration of Migrations (RNAIM), in which the work of local actors and partnerships is essential.
